Nischal Ram moved to Canada from Fiji in 2000 as a political refugee with less than $100 in his pocket. His first job in Canada was washing cars and then moved on to work in warehouses in the Fraser Valley.
In 2009, he started investing in real estate after getting some ideas from reading the book, Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. With no prior experience in real estate investing, Nischal made several mistakes along the way trying out different strategies and lost hundreds of thousands of dollars during the process.
With his “never give up” attitude, Nischal managed to acquire a portfolio of 189 units in Ontario and retired from his full time warehouse job in 2015 at 40 years of age. His strategy is to buy and hold the cash flowing properties long-term to create multi-generational wealth for his family.
