Museum of Vancouver

This is a rather interesting attraction, and it is one that is worth a visit. Although it did not make the top of our list, it is perhaps one of the places you would want to visit before any other. After all, the entire museum, which is located in Vanier Park is fully devoted to teaching you about Vancouver. That includes the history of the city, as well as what you can find in the modern-day.

Although this museum may be considered a minor attraction, there are plenty of things to see and do on the inside. Multiple exhibits can guide you through the process, from a micro exhibit of art foundation scholarship recipients to some native art pieces that are absolutely stunning. These exhibits are constantly changing, so make sure you check the website in advance to see what is available.

When you are visiting the Museum of Vancouver, you may want to save a little time to walk to some of the other museums that are in the area. This includes the HR McMillan Space Center, a great place to kill a few hours and to see the stars in the middle of the day, thanks to the attached planetarium.

The Maritime Museum is also nearby and is worth stopping to see what they have to offer. At the very least, you can enjoy the beautiful vistas of the city and the mountains in the background.
